March 14-Lisa
April 11-Lisa
May 2- Janine

Yin Yoga is a method of yoga that incorporates long held more passive postures, meant to nourish the body by stimulating chi flow to joints and connective tissue, blending it with pranayama and Chinese meridian theory. It is a beautiful practice that assists in bringing awareness more internally so that the body and mind can be more open and receptive, thus allowing for a more peaceful and balanced way of being. The yin practice integrates the physical, emotional and psychological aspects of the self in a subtle, encouraging and nourishing manner.

Janine now teaches a Yin class every Wednesday 6:00-7:15pm!

We will talk about specific types of foods that can support the yoga practice, glimpsing into the world of Ayurveda and the doshas, a well as learning how certain yoga poses can help aid in digestion and related discomfort. We will explore topics such as dealing with sugar cravings, vegetarianism, eating with the seasons, yin and yang foods, and what the deal is with the hype about gluten- and wheat-free diets? Sanskrit is the living language of Yoga and Mantra. It is a language of awareness and pranic intention. Sanskrit linguistically and vibrationally expresses our deepest core. The elegant sounds of Sanskrit gently coax our hearts to soar to their highest potential, the luminous whole that we all are. – Manorama
