In Your Body, Out of Your Mind with Margot Wilson

Sunday, March 7th, 2-4:30 $35
Margo Headshot
In Your Body, Out of Your Mind has been created by Margot Wilson as part of Soul Wisdom Astrology, which uniquely approaches the integration of the soul, body and mind through the knowledge and practice of body meditation, creative self-expression and healthy digestion of past and present emotions.

As our lives become increasingly fragmented there is less and less time to return to our central place of peace and happiness, our ultimate Human Right.

This workshop is developed specifically for women who feel in some way that they are bound up in the past, that they are not authentic in their lives or that they have a voice inside them that needs expression.

Both the body meditation and creative self-expression techniques are practical and easy to integrate into everyday life and can be used to manage stress, cultivate happiness and to increase your capacity to give and receive love.

Body Meditation uses techniques that instantly shift your awareness from your mind to your body and breathing and strengthens your core, creating an internal bowl where your emotions can be fully experience and released. You will also be introduced to the powerful healing force which occur spontaneously as part of total body meditation.

Digestion of Emotions is essential to human happiness and fulfillment of the soul. This process is interrupted and sometimes arrested when we fail to breath fully and feel inside our bodies. Only when we are unafraid of our emotions are we able to trust and fully experience ourselves and others.

Creative Self-Expression is the ultimate form of personal growth and expansion. There is no need for artistic talent or goals, the only aim being to be at the centre of the creative process and the realise the powerful force of creation

Who Should Attend:

Women who live too much in their heads
Women who feel unfulfilled
Women who lose themselves in relationships
Women who wish to explore their creative side

Sanskrit is the living language of Yoga and Mantra. It is a language of awareness and pranic intention. Sanskrit linguistically and vibrationally expresses our deepest core. The elegant sounds of Sanskrit gently coax our hearts to soar to their highest potential, the luminous whole that we all are. – Manorama

Yin Yoga is a method of yoga that incorporates long held more passive postures, meant to nourish the body by stimulating chi flow to joints and connective tissue, blending it with pranayama and Chinese meridian theory. It is a beautiful practice that assists in bringing awareness more internally so that the body and mind can be more open and receptive, thus allowing for a more peaceful and balanced way of being. The yin practice integrates the physical, emotional and psychological aspects of the self in a subtle, encouraging and nourishing manner.

Nourishing a Whole Self: Food, Body, and the Yoga Practice with Anastasia

Saturday, March 20th, 2:30-4:30 $25
In this workshop, we will explore yoga as a holistic healing practice in approaching body image and our relationship to food. We will explore how yoga and heart-opening asanas can help to cultivate a practice of listening to our intuition and learning to nourish ourselves not only through physical movement but also through being kind to our body. We will talk about specific types of foods that can support the yoga practice, glimpsing into the world of Ayurveda and the doshas, a well as learning how certain yoga poses can help aid in digestion and related discomfort. We will explore topics such as dealing with sugar cravings, vegetarianism, eating with the seasons, yin and yang foods, and what the deal is with the hype about gluten- and wheat-free diets? After delving into these various issues, we will end the afternoon with some deliciously restorative poses to soothe the body and soul!
