Kody Burns

As a child, Kody Burns was a competitive gymnast and dancer whichtaught her an awareness of the alignment of her body and the fluidity of movement. Throughout her life she has pursued other creative and athletic outlets, none of which gave her the intense satisfaction that she finally found upon arriving at a yoga class in 2000. A friend had told her that it would give her a good "stretch" but she never realized that the movement of breath with the body could be so deeply gratifying, energizing, and peaceful. It was then that she envisioned herself as a yoga teacher spreading this source of joy, peace, and love to others.

Kody's classes aim to create a safe and supportive environment for herstudents that allow them to relax and release so as to nourish their mind, body, and spirit. She approaches her classes with a gentle strength to guide her students through creative vinyasas that gradually allow them to release deeper and deeper into asanas. Her classes are accessible to all levels. Her intention is to let her personal practice, journey and training reflect in her classes. She would like to thank all of her gifted teachers, friends, family, and mentors that walk and guide her along the journey of yoga and life
